About the Founder
Jocelyn Chiew FRAIA FRLA is the Founder and Director of PLΛCE ΛSSEMBLY. She is a registered architect, registered landscape architect and urban strategist with more than 20 years' experience shaping cities, campuses and precincts across Australia.
Before establishing PLΛCE ΛSSEMBLY, Jocelyn led the strategic planning of major civic, campus and urban renewal projects in private practice before serving as Campus Architect for Monash University and City Architect / Director Design for the City of Melbourne - respectively leading the long-term planning, curation and design of one of Australia's largest university estates and public space design, design review and public realm strategy for one of Australia's largest and most complex cities.
Jocelyn brings strategic insight and expertise across design, governance, delivery and stewardship to complex city-shaping projects.
She serves on the Victorian and New South Wales State Design Review Panels and is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Architects and the Australian Institute of Landscape Architects.
